It all happened on a magical night when two scruffy, middle-aged, soft-bodied punks set foot inside Cult Pizza to have a slice and enjoy some punk rock music inside a space that seemed barely capable of supporting the weight of a pizza oven much less that of at least twelve other music-endurers. What came next is the stuff of much debate and legend... and though it began as an ordinary-though-likely-illegally-zoned basement show, it became something that still inspires those who witnessed it to look heavenward in wistful recollection, mouth perhaps slightly agape, scalp no doubt itchy, all the while thinking: "why on earth was there a puppet show opening for a power-violence band?"

Years and countless whispered rumors later, West Michigan Screenprinting and Dentistry Records is proud (and legally bound, as per the ruling against us because of some stickers and tee shirts we allegedly "messed up" for the band) to release the heretofore-unknown recording of the events of that evening. If you were there, if you weren't there, if you couldn't care less but were somehow referred to this page because you mistook it for some other band with this name—now is the time for us all to finally revel in the sweet noise that only two puppets can make.

Now is the time for Borth.

Written, performed, recorded, and choreographed by us, who is Broth, who is people named Paul and Derek, and was, for a short time, puppets. Released by West Michigan Screenprinting and Dentistry Records, which is also probably us but maybe isn't. Don't you prefer some mystery? Stop thinking so much. All songs are our property but you can listen to them if you want to.

Broth is two guys. They have played in a tent, been mauled by bears, lived rent-free in the heads of bands with podcasts, been heckled offstage after three songs, and have eaten sandwiches together while standing uncomfortably close onstage which prompted the crowd to be come weirdly agitated.
